Question for Verizon Razr owners. Received my bill this month and it was 3x's the normal amount! In going thru bill, came across 4 hours of data charges (2 different days) that put me way over. I have never accessed the internet on this or any phone. Called Verizon and told this was a problem with Razr phones and they would be happy to disable the internet accesss and would write up a request for refund ticket. I switched to Verizon 2 months ago from Cingular. What is a refund ticket (minutes or $ back?) Don't need the minutes. AND has anyone else heard of this or had problems with this?
Thanks:confused:

This is currently a known billing issue with the Razr phone. You will be credited $'s not minutes. The issue is when you access Get It Now or send/recv a picture the phone doesn't alway hang up the data call and it can go on for a very long time. I have seen calls over 800 minutes. Keep an eye on your bill until there is a software update for the Razr.

I've had the Motorola Razr V3c for 3 billing cycles...two have required $100+ credits to my account for this very reason. I just logged on to the website the check my current months usage and I already see that I'm 200+ minutes over on usage this month...I guess this will be my 3rd trip out of 4 billing cycles to get this problem corrected!
Very, very frustrating!

For those of you that have a Razor (poor suckers) just have the data features blocked and this will not happen.

Actually this is caused by a design flaw with the Razor and several other phones sold by Verizon. On the Razor phone the top portion of the circle selector is preprogramed to connect to the mobile web. You can not deactivate or change this function. When pressed it automatically attempts to access the mobile web even if you have this blocked by Verizon. The attempt will be charged a 1 minute data charge even if you press END immediately. Because of its location on the circle selector it is extremely easy to press it by mistake. Verizon technicall people know of this but will not official acknowledge the flaw. Customer service people do not have a clue and are blaming the problem on access to Get It Now and send and receiving pictures.
Can you say CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT!
