Hi, I am currently searching for a new phone. At the moment i have the Nokia 6100 which i have had for ages however recently the screen of the cover for it broke and so i had to change back to the old one, this phone lacks features so i have decided to upgrade.

I need a phone on pay as you go, i currently use the virgin mobile network and would prefer to stay on it or get a sim-free phone if possible

The phones i am interested in are the Samsung d600 and the Sony Ericsson K750i. I cannot decide which phone i want out of these two and i am still looking at other phones.

The things i want from the phone are an mp3 player, good camera and video, sound recording, games, large colour screen, good looks and functionality.

The samsung does not have mp3 player but i have considered buying a seperate mp3 instead and that seems to be a good option. I also prefer the looks of this phone rather than the k750i.

I do not use my mobile for calls or texts a lot, i would say less than average but i decided that it was time for an upgrade.

If you could help me decide which one to choose then your help would be greatly appreciated or if you could recommend any other phones that i could be interested in then feel free to recommend them. Any help is aprreciated

First:

Are you with Virgin mobile EUROPE or USA ? The US is CDMA - so you can NOT get ANY GSM phone.

If you are in Europe and use GSM carrier - I'd suggest you getting the K750 as it has nice camera and screen. A problem is that its memory (external memory card for memory expansion) is not the cheapest one available for mobile phones.
