LG Fusic will not "boot" only logo appears

Suddenly my LG Fusic will turn on and show the LG log but will not go into operation mode. Sprint store guy told me the OS was gone.
How can I get some of my data off of the phone? I need to get a new dataq cable but can not find one. Can you restore an OS?
Please help. Thank you.

Hi the same happend to me with my lg arena KM900. It started freezing whenever i try to acces music player, then I had to remove the battery each time, But last week it froze in camera mode and when i removed the battery and turned it on again it remained on the LG logo and did not start! It is now at the Phone shop from where i bought it only 2months ago!!

I haven't got any ideas, but was wondering if you ever got a solution
