all these phones stink

i'll try to keep this short-- i'm on verizon, and ATT blows where i live.... i really need to switch to a smartphone, etc.. for business... I hate all the verizon phones, the storm, the htc stuff, the demo models barely work in the store, interface on those just don't work for me and they sound like crap-- other than that they are great :) As for iphone... even if I decided to choke on the ATT service area limitations, i was really disappointed with the phone quality... not all the fun toys on it, that part is great, and it's easy to use, etc... but the actual phone call quality was horrific. I left myself a message using the iphone in the store, and we are talking cellphone in-call sound quality circa 1999.... and i did it with more than one of them. Do they always sound that bad? or is it just in background noisy areas? I find it hard to believe that doesn't bother people!

in addition, the one person i know who has one sounds like crap on the phone. Garbled and crappy.

but i never hear one word about it from the iphone fans on these websites....

Sounds like you just need to enter into as many design-a-phone contests since it sounds like the only thing that will make you happy is a custom taylored phone. Verizon has a ton of smartphones available I cant believe there isnt one out there that you dont like. Instead of complaining why dont you list specifically the things that you want the phone to do and the things that you do not like about the phones that youve tried.

On another note, it does sound like Verizon has an Andriod phone coming out within the next 6 months. If you have poor ATT reception you may as well buy an Ipod touch and to talk into that.
