I am absolute novice on cell phones. Have used Tracfone with Motorola C-139.Have signed prepaid Verizon with LG VX5500. Have signed prepaid Alltel with LG AX300. Can you buy your own phone and upgrade with any or all of these providers or are you compelled to buy a phone compatible with the individual companies. Is there any source for elementary education on this subject? Are batteries dedicated to each companies phone or are some interchangeable?
