Hi all,
I know I've make this topic once before but that was not the right time, anyway the time has come for major smartphone wars yeah lots to choose from and I don't know which one to go to.
I've seen iPhone 3G S, and Palm Pre. Both looks good but I still have to think about Win Mobile 6.5 devices, Google Android 1.5/2, and Storm 2.
Does anyone know whether BlackBerry phones like Storm hold a SIM card at all? Because I live in NZ and I don't want to stuck with contract services, and I always prefer prepaid services such as the ability to use SIM cards.

I'm sorry this is not the time for fanboism wars but please state your reason why I should go with this phone etc. etc. with logical reason not for fanboi sake. Thank you.

Let's start by telling us what falls under your definition of "smartphone",

Does it need a keyboard to type texts and mails with?

Does it need to use customized applications?

Does it need to use a broadband connection?

Oh I totally forgot about that stuff lol. Anyway the definition of smartphone for me is able to function as a sub computer. i.e. reading microsoft documents, adobe, etc.
Numeric or Qwerty? Qwerty or an screen keyboard is a must.
Customized apps? Uh I'm new to the phone industry so I don't know but iPhone 3G S looks pretty cool and Palm Pre too.
Broadband Connection? Uh I want a smartphone that can do internet too.

All I ever wanted from a smartphone is with great PIM function, and function as a sub computer flawlessly. There is no smartphone that I'm really into right now but I can't wait for how Storm 2 performs against Palm Pre and iPhone 3G S.

Nokia? Uh their highend sucks, E90 communicator? Uh that is kinda outdated probably not I wish for.

Your cheapest pick would be the Nokia's E71 with a full albeit small QWERTY keyboard and office reader.

If you're looking for a cutting-edge one the choice gets a lot harder.

lol, E71 is so old I rather have iPhone 3G S, because it is not the money matters it is more about the functionality matters lol. I think the iPhone 3G S will release on Jun 19 and HTC with Rosie which is Android on Jun 28 how exciting lol.
