Whenever i enter internet explorer or opera it comes up with the connection as "orange internet". I dont want to run my internet on orange as it costs a bundle, so how can i get my internet run on my wi-fi?

Hi
I have a similar problem.
I found that if I switch off the GSM data - (safest if you do this via settings- connections- connections - advanced -select networks - change 'orange internet' to 'isp' or something else - it can't connect to the orange's data service then, DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE IT BACK when you do want to gsm/3g data tho ;-) )
- then connect to the wifi account - and then switch the 'wireless adapter' (settings-connections-unique manager-advanced) to 'work' or 'internet' .. and press 'OK' then it works fine. It should really be on 'internet' so you may have to switch it back again. Switching it back and forward and pressing 'ok' seems to make it work.
I need to do this everytime tho .. it's not a permanent fix.
I think it's a bug with the 'unique' software from orange- what's most annoying is that it automatically uses the GSM/3G connection (And still displays the 'wireless' icon), if the wireless isn't working properly - and that can - as you say - be very pricey.
Come on orange - sort it out - sim free phones don't have this problem - so it's orange - not HTC that's at fault.
