Verizon Wireless PN-215-Assign different ringtones??

I have assigned different ringtones to different people in my contacts, but no matter what it plays a default one. I can change that default, but can't make it play the ones I've selected for when certain people call. Can anyone help??

Did you activate Ringer ID? Menu -> Settings & Tools -> 8 Ringer ID. You need to switch it on.

Can i have a ringtone be something that I have recorded, if so how do i do it???????:D :D

How do you assign a ringtone to someone once you've turned on the ID thingy....??? I'm so completely lost....lol And are there any places you can get GOOD ringtones? Like clips of actual people singing the songs?

yes! go to setting&tools,scroll down to ringer I.D.and make sure it is on.Then go to contact then contact list,and click o.k.Then select a name then click edit on the left,then scroll down to the telephone number,clear the number out,then put your area code first then the number,then scroll down to ringtone and click set on your left,then select the ringtone you would like to use,then o.k.then click save.Then when that person calls your cell number the ringtone that you gave that person will play every time that person calls your cell number.Do that with each of your contacts.Try it and see if it works,email me at herc48@sbcglobal.net and let me know if it work.
