Alltell Under Verizon

Hi, I am wondering once the merger between Verizon and Alltell is complete and thoroughly done, would the phones from Alltell be available for purchase under Verizon. For example would they sell the new Motorola Evoke QA4 under the Verizon brand or is it solely just for Alltell? If they do integrate the phones under their brand, how long do you think I have to wait till they do? Thank you so much for any input.

Yes they will work and more than likely you can make them work now but somethings won't work until the merger of the two is done !! Flash a Verizon PRL on the phone and use *228 option 3 and this will program the phone and activate it!!

Does that really work? I was thinking of buying a Verizon phone from ebay and using that method to work for Alltel...

It really depends on where you live. Some regions of Alltel coverage are now Verizon and some aren't. Verizon is not planning on selling any Alltel phones in Verizon stores. Much like myself you can purchase and use a Verizon phone on an Alltel plan as long as the merger is complete in your area.
