Hey guys,
At the moment i'm using a Nokia 6681 which I bought back in 2006
I've used the N80 a year back.
I want to upgrade, to the Nokia N96.
Most of the people dont like the N 96 because they are comparing it to the N95 8Gb.
But since I've never used a N95 will this be better for me?
I basically want a phone which I can listen to music, play games and watch a movie on during my spare time.
Its either this or the Nokia N85.
So far all the reviews point towards the Nokia N85 - ie - better screen, better cam ,better battery etc.
Is this phone worth it , or should I just buy the N85 ?
I will be getting this via Singapore. Its not available in Sri Lanka just yet.
Thanks in advance.

There's ntng to argue The n85 is better than N96,
but for how long can we use it?
most people say that its made from cheep plastic, an the slider shakes a lot.
so if i bought the n85, will i be able to use it for at least for three years,
an is it ok to buy it from sri lanka, cos most shops don't have good quality phones these days.
thanx

After owning and using an N95 8GB for over a year - I was so excited to recv my N96 and promptly stuffed all my contacts, MP3 files and images onto the new gadget. Sadly that was the only excitement I had. The N96 is slow and takes up to 10 seconds to get to a function. It didn't keep the same ringtone on occasion and often didn't ring at all. The buttons are hard to press individually with regular sized fingers. Who designed it - a flamenco guitarist? The PC Suite software provided doesn't even have the great Lifeblog application the N95 has - are they joking?? It lasted less than a day for me & I'll be trading it in for another N958GB or one of the latest smart fones reviewed on this site. I only wish the N958GB had the pencil button on the opposite side which would make cut and paste so much easier since the english language is written left to right but it's easier to cut and paste right to left and with regular sized fingers.

Hi kaushj
I think you should buy Nokia N85.
The Nokia N85 comes with bigger battery with 1200 mAh vs 950 mAh on the Nokia N96.
The Nokia N85 can now be charged though the microUSB port simultaneously while doing data transfer. This is the first for Nseries phones, and a missing feature in the Nokia N96.
The Nokia N85 has a built-in FM transmitter that will let us listen to the music from our phone directly on a radio. This feature was introduced in the Nokia N78 but is missing on the Nokia N96.Users want lens cover on their camera phones. The camera on the Nokia N85 is protected, but not the Nokia N96.
This comparison shows that Nokia N85 is better than Nokia N96.

Loll!! you must be one of those so called hard core Nokia fans who haven't taken the time to explore who else is out there. You can be like a circling frog in a deep well-which things its seen the world n buy the N96 for $400 or take a look at Samsung Jet-offers jet like speed, over 3" of stunning Amoled display, Digital Compass & loads of other Features. The LG Arena also scores really High on Features- out-selling most other feature phones n thrilling buyers in Europe n elsewere
