So i want to design the Perfect phone... without windows mobile or any PDA material in it. So here r the specs!

-Both GSM and CDMA
-LG.
-Slider(Number Pad), and Flip(QWERTY Keyboard)*Almost like the duo for att but instead of sliding into a qwerty, it flips like the voyager.
-Touch Screen.
-VCast/ATT Cellular Video
-GPS
-3.2 Mega Pixel Camera with Flash and Video Share.
-World Phone(GSM)
-Speaker phone
-4 colors (Black, Red, Blue, and Green)
-Dumbphone, not a smart phone.
-129.99 After 75$ Mail in rebate.

Price may need to alter... may end up being 149.99 After Mail in.

But sounds good? A phone everyone could like!

129.99 after a 75 mail in is a perfect price for a phone even with all these specs. It means that the phone is 204.99 before the rebate so thats how they make the money and then after the mail in its 129.99.

Idk who you are calling ignorant and clueless but it sounds reasonable to me.

Check prices dude...

Read the whole thing rather than just the price.

Yep, a dumbphone capable of communicating with diverse radio systems and able to determine which radio to use on the fly and maintaining connections flawlessly when handing off from one radio system to another.

And all of this for a price at or below most phones capable of handling only ONE radio system and with features better than most of those phones you wish to compare it to.

As I said -- ignorance at its best.

Then explain to me how AT&T can sell the Quickfire(Which is touchscreen, a sidekick like device with the QWERTY and a 1.3 megapixel camera) for only 99.99 after 50$ mail in rebate?

And Verizon selling the Voyager for 149.99 after rebate when it is a QWERTY clamshell and a touch screen.

ANNDD i did say *price may be altered to 149.99 after rebate.

The phone is only going to support one radio system. Its not CDMA and GSM all in one... i meant for it to have a GSM version of the phone, and a CDMA version as well.

Because the Quickfire ONLY supports GSM and the Voyager ONLY supports CDMA -- you asked for both!

There are any number of phones that sport the specs you call out and serve either gsm OR cdma.

If you are only wanting to use it on one system what do you really care if there is an identical model on the other?

You know how the Curve is both on a CDMA and a GSM platform? It was GSM first then it trickled into the CDMA world? Thats how i would want it to be so that people who have verizon would be able to get it same with att and tmobile without having to unlock it.

Thats how the price works. The phone itself does NOT support both radios. Just one for what ever plat form its on. Then it a CDMA version will be released.

Why do you care if somebody on the other platform can get the same phone or not?

So people on the two biggest networks can have the phone that they like.

and anyways, why would YOU care? Its my design, so i think i can say whether or not i want it to be used on two platforms.

If everybody else has it then its NOT the perfect phone.
