View Full Version : LG DARE and VISTA 64--synch with WMP11

I have the LG Dare and have been trying to synch it to VISTA 64 windows media player 11.
I have had no luck in doing this. VISTA 64 accepted the drivers from my disk that came with the phone, I can plug my phone into a usb port and VISTA sees it as a modem. When I attempt to synch it to WMP11 Vista 64 version, it shows up as synched for about a second, and then dropps out. My cell shows an error message. Going to Verizon or LG customer service was no help. Anyone have any luck? Where did you get drivers for LG DARE? It appears to be a driver issue. An email from VERIZON says no drivers exist to use any Verizon phone with VISTA or XP 64 bit versions. any help will be appreciated.

LG Dare synchs with windows XP PRO windows media player 11 just fine. Using drivers from LG website after using a VCAST musicsynchresettool from LG website--it corrects a setup problem with drivers from VERIZON I believe. I have not been able to synch with VISTA 64 version of WMP 11 though--that's sad.

I have Vista 64 on a computer for about a year now, games, applications, everything works fine, that is until I tried to sych my cell to WMP11. Once you try VISTA 64 or even XP64, I doubt you would want to go back to a 32 bit system. Support for 64 bit systems is much better now, except for VERIZON, who has yet to provide support . . .

I prefer using WMP 11 to Rhapsody. Rhapsody is difficult to use. I am using the data cable that came with the DARE. I am using the Windows VISTA 64-bit OS. I apologize, but there is something you guys are not doing right.

It worked on my pc and i a have vista64 the vcast disk that came with my dare said i had to install the driver first then the v cast and it worked

rhapsody sucks. those of us that DONT want to pay out the wazoo for things use wmp11. thats why it works. because u PAY for it.
