I want to buy this phone but I also want to get a phone to read e-books on. I didn't see anywhere a column about its internet browser or java applications. I know it has one... My question is this: If I download html e-books from the pc on the memory card will I be able to read them on the phone browser? Can I install a java .doc viewer for Word documents? I'm really interested on how this phone works with .html and .doc files. Thank you in advance.

If you look around you should be able to find a J2ME e-book reader.
About the HTML - most of todays phone support WAP 2.0 which used xHTML markup language and not all HTML pages/files are properly viewed on WAP 2.0 devices. So - download your HTML e-book and see how they look on your phone.

I am having problem connecting my unlocked Sony Ericsson V800 with z800 firmware to the internet. My carrier is T-Mobile but I don't want to use them. There is a cheaper service out there called hopke.net
that I joined. They sent me the IP address and everything that I need but I am not sure hot to configure my phone. Can you help?
