Nokia symbian s60 v2 vs v3?

Hello to community members,
I'm a fan of nokia s60 os from isfirst version
I got nokia 7650,6600,6630 and 6680 and within some days n70
I know I still not got a v3 os but after reading official pdf overview I don't found what big differences there are beetween those two..
So I sould like to know if possibile what make different both for developers both for user-friendly interface and hardware those two?
I did a bad choose in not choose a new v3 system? many improved specifications?
