I'm not a phone genius when it comes to advanced technologies like CDMA, etc. I have no idea what it is besides the technology Verizon and Sprint uses.

Is it possible to use an HTC Mogul (Sprint Version) for Verizon since they do have the same exact phone-the XV6800? Is there any conflicting problems with networks?

This shouldn't be a problem, but you would have to re-flash it Verizon firmware or go to their support center to do it for you.

And also, this is what my internal systems say:

Device Lock Settlement Overview

As part of a nationwide class action settlement, effective 02/14/08, VZW (Verizon Wireless) will work with customers to activate non-VZW devices for the customer’s retail use on an existing or new voice calling plan if the device is compatible with the VZW network. VZW cannot guarantee that a non-VZW device will be able to function with VZW service.

So keep in mind, only phones from other CDMA carriers will have the ability to work on the VZW network. It is not possible to bring in a phone, for example, from AT&T or T-mobile.

1. There really isn't any difference as far as the high speed data and voice are concerned. Just the Network Availability and Coverage.

2. It is possible if that Mogul is in the Same ESN Range as the XV6800. But your main problem is the device will not OTA (Over the Air program). You will have to manually program it. The only issue with that is, the SPC, or as Sprint Calls it, the MSL code is locked down with sprint. What you do to get around this is to call sprint up and say "I have an older sprint phone that I am attempting to activate to my Verizon account, and I need the MSL code to program it." Legally they are now entitled to give you the code, if you run into anything, ask to speak to a supervisor. And site the Aforementioned class action suit. Then all you have to do is take it to your local verizon store and first let them check and see if its in the same Device ESN range, or if it can be activated. And if it is activated to your account, ask the technician to manually program it, it should almost be the exact same programming method as the XV6800. If they don't feel comfortable doing it, no biggie, just contact technical support, tell them what you are trying to do, and even though you know there is a chance it may not work, you still want to try it. Now once you've activated it, you should be able to use text and voice. The one battle is to try to get the data working, the only issue with this, is that since the phone won't OTA, it wont pick up the provisioning, so you will have to enter that manually as well. If possible. Technical support should be able to try and walk you through this, but if that doesn't work, you can pm me and I'll try to help you.
