It is kinda strange :), but not bad at all. I've been using symbian phones since my first Nokia 6600 came out and all of them felt the same with slight difference in the interface. This on the other hand looks quite different than everything before it, like some kind of mixture between UIQ and S60. As long as they leave all S60 buttons on the phone i would be happy, to have an alternative to the touchscreen :).

Now this is something i look forward to testing :). I've been wishing for this since Sony Ericsson came out with its P-series of smartphones. They were great while the UIQ they used was awful. The software for Symbian was incompatible and so on. If this touch S60 is compatible with the current generation Symbian 9.x software it should become a hit in the smartphone world in no time.

Symbian is a really good mobile phone os, but in the last year most manufacturers made at least one TouchScreen operated device, except Nokia. Finally they decided to enter the touch arena with a bang :D. Good Go Nokia, I hope that the S60 software will be compatible with it, unlike the UIQ.

I believe there will be compatibility issues at first, but they will probably be fixed with future updates and software tweaks. As a whole it was about time for nokia to enter the "Touch" market.

At last a good symbian platform is on its way. The UIQ Just isn't that good. It is easy to use but the symbian S60 platform is way better and widely spread.

well it was about time they tried to kick the UIQ from the smartphones market as the only touch based symbian. Compatibility shouldn't be an issue, i only hope that the bugs in the software will be minimal. All in all it is pretty similar to the standard S60, but that will probably change.

Wow i saw something like that in the dark knight movie ;). I guess it's kinda made fro promotional purposes, but it's cool to know that nokia is thinking about us "touch crazy" people.
