The optically stabilized imaging capabilities of the fairly chubby Lumia 920 have now been shoehorned into a sexier device, which mimics all the other innovative features of the 920 - the PureMotion HD + display, as well as the high-performance mics that capture up to 140dB sound without distortion.

LG Optimus Zone

The specs of the LG Optimus Zone are identical to those of the L3, meaning that we're looking at an 800MHz Snapdragon S1 processor, 384 MB RAM, 3.2-inch screen with resolution of 240 by 320 pixels, and 3.2MP camera. Not only that, but it debuts the first octo-core Exynos 5 Octa processor in the international version, as well as a temperature and depth sensor for the first time.

To do that, the HTC One improves in four major areas - camera quality with a new BSI camera with optical image stabilization and UltraPixel technology, a premium metal unibody design, a new simplified HTC Sense Android experience and enhanced stereo sound.

The phone's main selling point is its large 5" edge-to-edge screen with Full HD resolution, the first of its kind with 440ppi pixel density, which is a sight to behold.

The rest of the specs look quite enticing as well, including 8-megapixel camera, the dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 S4 processor under the hood, NFC support and Android 4.0.4 installed. The handset will be 4.82-inches high, 2.51-inches wide and 0.43-inches thick. With a slightly larger battery at 2,100mAh, and a smaller 4-inch WVGA Super AMOLED screen, the ATIV Odyssey will weigh less than its counterparts at 4.41 ounces. The main camera is 5MP, will be able to shoot 1080p video and the front facing camera is 1.2MP which will be able to record 720p video. Power is managed by the same 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor found in the other Windows Phone 8 devices sold in the US. On board there is 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage, plus the aforementioned microSD expansion. Samsung will have some of its own apps on the Odyssey, Now, Mini Diary and Photo Editor. Of course, the handset will also feature all of Nokia's software add-ons like the Drive+ turn-by-turn navigation with offline maps, City Lens, Music and so on. The screen of the Lumia 822 will measure 4.3 inches and will have a pretty mediocre resolution of 480x800 pixels. Thanks to its 4:3 aspect ratio, the iPad mini is actually superior to 7-inch tablets with a wide ratio. That is due to the more surface area available on the device's screen, which results in a richer web browsing experience.

Apple iPad 4

The fourth-generation iPad keeps the amazing screen resolution and general look and feel of its predecessor, but bumps up the specs with double the processing power and double the graphics power. The camera is also improved.

It also has faster Wi-Fi connectivity and expanded LTE.

HTC Windows Phone 8S

The HTC Windows Phone 8S, the more affordable new Windows Phone 8 smartphone by HTC, has just been unveiled and it will enter direct competition with the Nokia Lumia 820.
The HTC 8S has a funky design with a brightly colored contrasted chin and a vividly colored earpiece. The device is pretty light at just 113 grams.
The hardware doesn’t shoot for the stars - instead it caters to budget minded consumers. We have a 4-inch WVGA (that’s 480 x 800 pixels) screen, a Snapdragon S4 chip with a 1.0GHz dual-core Krait processor, 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage that you can expand via microSD cards. There is a removable panel at the bottom where HTC has placed the micro SIM and microSD card slots. The battery is not removable, though.
HTC is including Beats Audio technology on this device to manage to differentiate itself in the Windows Phone arena.
At the back, we have a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.8 aperture, recording videos at 720p. One sore omission is a front facing camera, so there is no easy way to make video calls and make use of the built in Skype client.

HTC Windows Phone 8X

HTC Windows Phone 8X is company's flagship Windows Phone 8 coming with a powerful spec sheet wrapped in a svelte 0.39" body in nice candy colors. The 8X by HTC sports a 4.3" LCD 2 HD screen, which, if the One X display is any indication, should be a sight to behold, and has the respectable 342ppi pixel desnity. It ups the WP ante with a modern 28mm dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 chipset, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory, thus equating its specs with the fierce WP8 competition in the face of the Samsung ATIV S, or the innnovative Nokia Lumia 920, which, however, has a lot more going for it with the PureView camera.
How does the HTC 8X intend to differentiate from those? Why, Beats Audio, of course. The prominent branding is featured proudly on the back of the phone, promising deep bass sound and clearer audio. "The Windows Phone 8X by HTC featuring Beats Audio also offers a unique audio amplifier powering the 3.5mm audio jack and the speaker, boosting the audio signal for even better sound no matter if you’re listening to music, playing a game or watching a video," says HTC.
As for the sniping capabilities, we have an 8MP shooter on the rear with dedicated shutter key, equipped with HTC's exclusive ImageSense technology, which is essentially a proprietary ISP, allowing for some additional photo trickery, like ultra fast capture times, and continuous shot mode that takes multiple frames per second. It sports ultra wide f/2.0 aperture, just like on the Lumia 920.
What's even more interesting, is that the 2MP front-facing shooter is with the same ultra wide 88 degree angle, "allowing up to four people and more to be captured at once", and can shoot 1080p video as well, which should make for some pretty clean and crowded Skype video calls.

Samsung GALAXY Note II Verizon

What makes the Samsung Galaxy Note II for Verizon stand out of the crowd is its gargantuan HD Super AMOLED display. Measuring the impressive 5.5-inches in diagonal, it offers 720 by 1280 pixels of resolution, all the while being brighter and bigger than the one on its predecessor. Like the rest of its variants, the Verizon Galaxy Note II has been outfitted with a quad-core Exynos 4412 SoC clocked at 1.6GHz and backed up by 2GB of RAM, ensuring that whatever app you throw at it, the smartphone will be able to handle it. On the back of the device resides an 8-megapixel camera with back-side illuminated sensor for better low-light performance, while a 1.9-megapixel front-facing cam, also of the BSI kind, makes video chats possible. The humongous 3,100mAh battery should be well capable of lasting through a day of moderate to heavy usage. The device relies on 4G LTE connectivity for accessing the internet whenever Wi-Fi isn't available.

Apple iPhone 5

The Apple iPhone 5 is the first iPhone with a larger, 4-inch screen. This year it has the HD after its name, hinting that Moto is finally joining the high-res screen party, but will upgrade where it matters again - the battery. The Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX HD will sport the same 4.7" Super AMOLED HD screen as its non-Maxx version (what, Samsung is lending those to others now?), and dual-core Snapdragon S4, but will sport a huge 3, 300mAh battery, just like last year. A pretty compact Android smartphone with a spacious qHD screen, beefy battery, and premium design. Then here is what you need to know about the Motorola DROID RAZR M: first of all, it comes with an edge-to-edge, almost bezel-less 4.3-inch display with qHD resolutin (540 by 960 pixels). The panel is built using Super AMOLED Advanced technology, much like what we had on the very first DROID RAZR. Although the third-generation iPad remains the same on the outside (not a bad thing), it does bring a lot of improvements on the inside. First of all, it has a new screen resolution of 2048x1536 pixels, delivering an amazing for a tablet pixel density of 264 ppi. Another major improvement has to do with the processor of the device, which is now the so-called A5X - still a dual-core processor, but with a new quad-core GPU for outstanding graphics performance. The camera has also been given a boost and is now much more capable in terms of both photo- and video-taking. Finally, the new iPad 3 has been blessed with LTE connectivity.
