It is an Android 4.2.2 based tablet that fits perfectly in the mid-range category – with an 8-inch touchscreen, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 5MP auto-focus camera to top it all off. But hardware specs aren't all that this device has to grab our attention with. The 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 actually stands out with being pretty light and portable for its class. But ultimately, is it worth getting?...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch Preview

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is the third generation 7-inch Android tablet by Samsung and it brings a compact form factor and light weight…

Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom Preview

Despite the flagship branding, the S4 Zoom is first a camera, then a phone. It expands on the idea started with Samsung's Galaxy Camera – a 16MP Android-powered camera, which has cellular connectivity but for data only. On paper we have the first phone with a 10x optical zoom, but did Samsung manage to make a cameraphone, or did it simply slap a phone on a camera? One such device is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, which we are now giving a detailed preview. In many ways, the smartphone is very similar to the Galaxy S4 flagship. However, it has more than a few peculiarities of its own – peculiarities that truly make this smartphone stand out of the crowd. It is thinner and lighter than its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 predecessor, and runs the newest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. What we have is a prototype still, not a retail unit, so read on for our initial impressions...

LG Optimus L3 II Review

The LG Optimus L3 II is an extremely affordable and basic Android smartphone with a tiny 3.2-inch display. It is pretty, powerful, and loaded with exclusive features that can be found only on Samsung devices. However, the company's flagship isn't exactly the smallest smartphone around. Well, it is a little bit of both, actually. Here we have the Asus Fonepad – a 7-inch Android slate with 3G connectivity and an earpiece allowing it to make phone calls. It is a peculiar device, to say the least, yet that doesn't mean it costs an arm and a leg. In fact, the Asus Fonepad is priced at only about $250, which is a reasonable figure considering what you get in exchange. Will the Galaxy Mega 6.3 succeed in addressing its alleged target market? The League of Extraordinary Diagonals, that is, as the phone sports a monster 6.1” display. Huawei's largest handset, however, certainly has enough going for it to set it apart from Samsung's Goliaths. Is it better handset than the other big-screen lover dream phones, like the Mega 6.3, Note II or G Pro? Both are massive, feature-rich smartphones that are made for multimedia consumption and large-screen entertainment. Both have Android running on them enhanced by Samsung with a dose of minor and major software tricks. But putting their specs sheets side by side shows that the Note II is superior to the Mega 5.8 in a number of ways. Does that translate into a better user experience in real life?...

Acer Liquid E2 Review

The Acer Liquid E2 Duo does not come from Samsung or Apple, nor it is a bleeding-edge device, but - contrary to what you might expect - it is an extremely fascinating handset…

Sony Xperia Tablet Z Review

Sony somehow managed to make the thinnest and lightest Full HD 10-incher out there, and made the whole package waterproof at that. It is not easy to replicate Sony's achievement, as the Xperia Tablet Z also sports all bells and whistles we've come to expect from a modern day slate at a reasonable price, plus four 3D surround sound speakers, thus shaping it as arguably the best Android tablet around, on paper at least...

Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Review

The Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 is a member of a rare breed. While it has the specs of a mid-range device, its appearance might make an unassuming buyer think that it's one beast of a phone. That's because its front is occupied by a massive, 5.8-inch touchscreen, which happens to be the smartphone's stand-out feature. Note that our review is based on the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Duos. This is the dual-SIM variant of the smartphone, which is identical to the single-SIM version in terms of design and hardware specs...

Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 Preview

We've been waiting with baited breath for this year's gargantuan phone ideas from Samsung, and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 didn't disappoint with screen diagonal. Measuring 6.3 across, as the name suggests, it is not meant to be a flagship product, given the mid-range for 2013 specs, but rather fit an existing or imaginable marketing niche of users.
